"But ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praise of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;" 1 Peter 2:9.
Today is Ash Wednesday. It begins Lenten season. In Western Christianity, Lent is 40 days of fasting and repentance in preparation for Resurrection Sunday (Easter), this year on April 8th. The six Sundays in Lent are not counted among the 40 days of lent as each Sunday represents a "mini-Easter," a celebration of Jesus' victory over sin and death.
We invite you to join us in prayer and fasting for God's will to be done in our lives, families, churches, schools, communities, and in the nation. Download the Jesus Saves Ministries "Prayers of the Righteous Prayer Journal" below, and use it as a tool to strengthen your prayer life over the next six weeks. We suggest that you try fasting. There are several ways of doing this.
