Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me; for you are the God who saves me (Psalms 25:4-5). NLT

The psalmist combines confessions of guilt, with heartfelt pleas for mercy, protection, and guidance and expressions of confidence in God to be a compassionate deliverer.

How can we learn and choose God's way? Through Jesus Christ the God who saves (John 6:40, John 8:12, John 10:28; John 10:9)! I love it where the psalmist says, for you are the God who saves me (v5b). That's what the Lord did and still does for me. He saved me, and he keeping on saving me, even when I don't deserve it. He is merciful just like that. He gives us another chance to get it right. And the best part, Jesus wants to save anyone who is willing to put faith in Him. Jesus saves!
