Bill Price Shares "No Excuse Day" Testimony at Kenwood Church

By: Min. Angela Lee Price
"They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony, for they did not love their lives in the face of death (Rev. 12:11 NIV)."

My husband, Bill Price is a well-known and well-liked radio personality in Louisville.  He has worn a number of hats in radio over 40 years.  Currently, he is the General Manager of PraisePower 1350 WLOU and the new Praise 104.7 FM.  The station went FM in December 2011 and won a 2012 Stellar Award for Mid-Market Radio Station of the Year.

Bill and I were invited to be apart of  "No Excuse Day" at Kenwood Northeast Missionary Baptist Church, Crestwood, Kentucky.  I brought the morning message, "Just Keep On Coming to Church" based on Acts 3:1-10 and the lame man at the Gate called Beautiful.  Churches are packed all over the nation on Easter, but the following weeks, many people have countless lame excuses for why they can't come to church.

Bill shared a testimony about how a stroke in 2008 brought him closer to the Lord. He talked about how over the years he has made countless excuses for not going  to church. If it was raining, he wouldn't go. If he didn't have the right suit, he wouldn't go. If his favorite team was playing that day, he wouldn't go. He confessed he is the king of a million and one excuses for not going to church.  He admitted God has done a mighty work in him and he is more grateful for God's grace and mercy in his life. Bill's testimony was so powerful. Everyone praised the Lord.  We saw ourselves in what Bill had to say.  Bill is not what he ought to be, but thank God, he is not what he use to be either. Oh, what a change God has made in his life! And the testimony that God has given him, not only encouraged us on "No Excuse Day," but has encouraged other groups over the past three years.
Bill and I attended the 24th First Family Anniversary Celebration on August 7, 2011 of Rev. James Booker, Jr., Pastor, Kenwwod Northeast Missionary Baptist Church, Crestwood, KY. Rev. Booker is the April 2012 Pastor of the Month on PraisePower `1350 WLOU and the new Praize 1047.
If you are "going through" a trial, sickness, or crisis right now, could it be that it is only a test?  Jesus, the Lamb, did His part in overcoming the enemy by shedding his blood at Calvary and dying for our sins. The "and" in Revelations 12:11 states we must do our part, too.    We must share our testimonies. As a matter of fact, you ought to do, as the songwriter says, and praise Him in the middle of it.

There is no testimony without a test. God's testing strengthens our faith and our relationship with Him. God's testing builds character. The good thing is if we fail His test, He allows us take it over. Philippians 1:6 states, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."  God uses all things to accomplish his will in making us like Jesus Christ.  Romans 8:38 states, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called called according to his purpose."    There is no testimony without a test.  It's only a test!
