Thank you Apostle Kevin Manzano, Pastor New Beginnings International Church, Louisville for being my guest on the Jesus Saves Ministries Live radio show. Our highlight of Psalm 91 was very inspiring! Thank you for reminding us of the importance of prayer and intercession (in addition to regular Bible Study) in abiding in the Lord, making our home, habitation in Him. The benefits to dwelling and abiding in the Lord include deliverance, exaltation, answered prayer, honor, satisfaction of long life and salvation. God's promises are conditional.  God promises safety and security BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM and and KNOW HIS NAME. Praise God! Thank you and Prophetess Melissa "Rise Up and Pray" wall plague! We look forward to hearing more about Gathering of Intercessors Summit, April 12th-14th here in Louisville.

Black History: Haste Has No Blessing

By: Rev. Angela Lee Price
Proverbs 2: 1-7 (V1) “My child, listen to me and treasure my instruction. (V2) Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. ( V3) Cry out for insight and understanding.
(V4) Search for them as you would for lost money or hidden treasure. (V5) Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. (V6) For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
(V7) He grants a treasure of good sense to the godly.” (NLT)

Our society has become conditioned to want things quick, fast, and in a hurry. We give alittle and expect to receive a lot. However, an African proverb says,“Haste has no blessing.” Proverbs chapter 2 makes it clear that the“quick-fast-and-in-a-hurry” and the “give-a-little-receive-a lot” philosophies of life are not the ways of God.

Some things, such as gaining wisdom, knowledge, and understanding require considerable time, trust, prayer, and effort. In the opening verses of Proverbs chapter 2, we learn to “listen,” “treasure,” “tune,” “concentrate,” “cry out,” and “search,” for insight and understanding (vs. 1-4). We are to apply serious attention and devotion to the task. We are to give our all to knowing who God is. The Bible says when you do this, “then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. (V5)”

Are you giving more of yourself to the God who has given His all for you? Listen and treasure divine instruction. Tune your ears to wisdom. Concentrate on God’s Word. Cry out continually in prayer. Search the scriptures daily. The Lord grants knowledge, wisdom and understanding (V 6-7) to those who diligently search for it, and that is a treasure of good sense (V 7), a treasure worth seeking.

Remember, it is not Mohammad, Buddha, Confucius, nor New Age that saves. Jesus saves!

Make Your Praise Glorious!

By: Min. Angela Lee Price

"Shout with joy to God, all the earth!  Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!  Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds!  So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.  All the earth bows down to you.  They sing praise to you.  They sing praise to your name.  Selah.  Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf!"  Psalm 66:1-5.

Gospel artist Martha Munizzi has a song entitled, "Glorious."  I use to play it often when I was on the radio in the mornings.  It is the kind of song that helps you get to work on time and in a joyous mood!  When you hear this upbeat song, you can't help but go to work praising God because a reoccuring line in the song states, "I was created to make Your praise glorious!"   The song reminds us that our top priority on the job, at lunch, and throughout the day is to put God first and give Him glorious praise in thought and in deed.

Psalm 66 is a great foundational  and complementary text to Martha Munizzi's song, "Glorious."  The psalmist reminds us we are here to give God glorious praise!  When we think about how awesome God is, we should become thankful for His goodness towards us.  He's the uncaused Cause who causes everything to exist; He's the God who causes our solar systerm, the galaxies, and the universe to hang in the heavens; He's the God who delivered the Israelites from Egyptian bondage and into the Promise Land; and He's the God who was so mindful of tiny, insignificant humanity that He gave His only Son to die for our sins!   When we think about all this, how awesome (terrible) is our God, we should want to make our praise glorious!

To make our praise glorious we should  1) "Shout with joy to God (v1); 2) Sing the glory of his name (v2); 3) Say to Him (in prayer) (v3); and 4) Come and see what He has done (v5)!

This week, make your praise glorious!  Shout, sing, say, and invite the unchurched and dechurched to come and see our awesome God!  He is worthy to be praised!

It is not Mohammad, Buddha, Confucius, nor New Age that saves.  Jesus saves.
