WLOU Summerfest Prayer Breakfast 2019

WLOU Radio hosted Summerfest Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, June 20th. We thank God for the awesome kickoff to Summerfest with great prayer, praise, speakers, food and fellowship! Thank you to Mistress of Ceremonies Betty Baye, prayer leaders Co-Pastor Joy Elliott and Felecia Fortney; Tommie Jones &; Friends led us in praise and worship. Our program of great speakers including Fourth District Councilwoman Barbara Sexton Smith, YMCA President Steve Tarver, McDonald's Franchise Owner Ira Salls, Metro Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, Democratic Candidate for Secretary of State Heather French Henry, Democratic Candidate for Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman, State Representative Charles Booker, Bullying Prevention Advocate Tami Charles.  Keynote speaker,  Rev. Dianne Brown left us with the powerful Word, The Mission Is Possible from Matthew 6.  She stated that the mission is possible when you look to God, look in God's word, look through prayer, don't worry, and wait on God.
Donald's Catering prepared a tasty menu that included chicken and waffles and a variety of brunch favorites.  We thank our sponsors, vendors and an awesome team of volunteers, all contributed in major ways to make the event special for our guests.
